あんたがガルム1だ》 《概要》 エースコンバットシリーズとは、ナムコ(現・バンダイナムコ)が開発・販売するシューティングゲームシリーズ。 平たく言えば 戦闘機を駆るエースパイロットとなって、敵軍を蹴散らすゲーム である。 当初はアーケードゲーム"エアーコンバット"の家庭移植版として開発されていたが、商標の関係で名前が使用できなかったため、 現在のエースコンバットに名前が変更されたという経緯を持つ。 略称は「エスコン」「エース」「ACE」「AC」など。 ただし「AC」と略せるゲームもいろいろあるため、 本作を「空のAC」として「陸のAC」「人のAC」と区別する事もある。 公式は「エース」「ACE」「エスコン」を用いる。 極一部の例外を除いて、本作の主人公はコールサイン(*1)かTACネーム(*2)しか設定されておらず、容姿はもちろん、人物像すらほとんど語られていない。 精々、「他の登場人物が『彼』と呼ぶためおそらく男性であろうと推測される者」が散見される程度で、性別すら不明瞭な者も少なくない。稀に人ですらないモノさえいる。 正にプレイヤー自身こそが、存在するだけで敵を恐怖に陥れ、味方を勇気付けるエースとなるのである。 この点は「陸のAC」とも共通する。 だが「空のAC」の主人公は体制を守る側、「陸のAC」の主人公は体制を乱す側であることが多く、立場は真逆である。 本作をプレイする上で忘れてはならないのは、 「エースコンバットはリアルなフライトシミュレーター ではなく 、フライト『シューティング』である」という事である。 そのため、戦闘機は ミサイルや爆弾を数十本積む (*3)し、搭載された「通常ミサイル」は戦闘機でも戦車でも、 挙句に一般家屋にさえ問題なく誘導しダメージを与える(*4)。 『戦闘機でトンネルに突入する』 なんて現実には無茶な挙動も毎回やらかす。 これまた一部の例外を除いてエースコンバットシリーズは我々の住む地球とは異なる別の世界を舞台としているため、 現在の技術水準を遥かに超えた兵器群、通称 超兵器 も大量に登場する。 つまる所、本シリーズは戦闘機のリアルな挙動ではなく、 戦闘機で強大な敵を撃破し、困難なミッションをクリアし、圧倒的不利を逆転する爽快感とカタルシスを楽しむゲームなのである。 この事はACE2のキャッチコピーの「超本格的ヒコーキごっこ」という文言が分かりやすく物語っている。 これら非現実的な点をどうしても受け入れられないという者も少なくないが、 ともあれエースコンバットシリーズは現在ではナムコ(バンダイナムコ)を代表する看板シリーズとなっている。 またシリーズを通して、BGMが非常に良質なのも大きな魅力の一つ。 ゲームは二の次、曲を聞くためだけにプレイする価値も十分にあると言える。 1、2でよく見られるロック調のBGMはシリーズの基本となっており、作風に合わせて軽妙なテクノ、重厚なオーケストラ、フラメンコ風といった具合に、 作品ごとに特色も光る。 04以降は作曲家陣に小林啓樹氏が参戦、ラストミッションは 混声合唱が挿入された壮大なオーケストラサウンド となるのが慣例となった。 なお、多くの作品はストーリーを一周するとゲーム中のBGMを好きに聞く事が出来る、いわゆる「音楽室」が解放される。 《お約束要素》 今シリーズにはいくつか共通する要素がある。 大まかに分けて初代から存在するものと、04から登場したものに分けられるが、何れもシリーズの特徴としてプレイヤーからは愛される要素となっている。 トンネル潜り・谷間飛行 どう考えても戦闘機にさせる事ではないが 、今シリーズには毎回登場し、最後の敵を撃破するために必ず潜りに行くハメになる。 概ね谷間飛行は中盤、トンネルは終盤で登場し、「主人公にしかできない困難なミッション」として山場を盛り上がる。 超兵器 現実にはあり得ないオーバーテクノロジーがふんだんに投入された超兵器が毎回登場する。 概ね敵軍の序盤の快進撃の要となり、ストーリー前半の自軍はまずはこれに悩まされ、ひとまずこれを打倒する事を目指す。 そして最終盤に敵軍の最後の切り札として2つ目の超兵器が登場、主人公の手で撃破して自軍の勝利……という流れが常道。 戦闘機ゲーである事もあって超巨大航空機が多いが、中には 巨大地対空レールガン や 全長300mクラスの巨大潜水空母 、 全高1㎞の超高層レーザー砲 、 地上攻撃用レールガンを搭載する巨大人工衛星 といったものもある。 超兵器撃破ミッションは『自軍が長らく悩まされていた敵の巨大な兵器を落とし、いよいよ反撃を開始する』という、 ストーリーの折り返しを飾る任務となる事が多く、主人公の活躍や自軍の逆転の始まりを強調する大きな役割を持つ。 また2つ目の超兵器については事前のトレーラーで紹介されていない事も多く、大抵は初対面時のプレイヤーの度肝を抜くことになる。 絶望的過ぎる状況からの奇跡的逆転劇 特に04以降で顕著。 自国領土の大半が制圧されている、開戦から一週間で正規軍が壊滅した、敵軍の宣戦布告同時攻撃でいきなり首都が陥落する……といった、 普通ならとっくに降伏している様な状況 からゲームがスタートする事が多い。 またそれに伴い、最初ないし最初期のミッションが「自軍にトドメを刺そうとする敵爆撃機の編隊の迎撃」である事もお約束である。 これもやはり「死に体だった自軍が主人公の活躍により持ち直す」というカタルシスを支える要素となる。 ナガセもしくはTACネーム"EDGE"の女性パイロット と ジョン・ハーバード 2で初登場して以降毎回の様に登場する女性パイロットと男性。 ナガセのフルネームは永瀬ケイ(ケイ・ナガセ)。 元々はレイジレーサーの登場人物のパロディとして登場した彼女であるが、後にシリーズに頻繁に登場するようになる。 基本的に、それぞれ同名の別人として扱われる。 また彼女の存在によって、ストレンジリアル世界にも日本に相当する国があると推測される。 ジョン・ハーバードはナガセとは異なりゲーム本編で直接言及される事は少なく、ゲーム外の資料でその名前が確認できる。 ストーンヘンジを運用していたりアークバードの乗組員だったりとストレンジリアル世界の脇役としてちょこちょこ登場しており、 彼もまたそれぞれのジョン・ハーバードが同一人物であるかどうかは不明。 《シリーズ作品》 前述の通り、本作は架空世界(公式は ストレンジリアル世界 と呼称する)を舞台とするものと、現実世界を舞台とするものの2つに大別される。 プレイヤーからは概ね架空世界を舞台とする作品が本流、現実世界が舞台の作品は外伝という認識である。 どの作品にもイメージカラーと強調された要素があるため、同シリーズでありながらそれぞれの作品に固定ファンがおり、 特色となる点がそれぞれ強みを発揮している事がわかる。 谷間を飛行するミッションの存在や、報酬から戦闘機を購入する、(一部作品では)主人公が傭兵部隊であるといった点から、 漫画「エリア88」の影響が非常に大きい事が窺える。 ACE COMBAT 某国で発生した大規模クーデターに対し、統合軍の傭兵部隊に所属する主人公が鎮圧に向かう。 「エースコンバット」としては記念すべき第一作。この頃はまだストーリーは非常にシンプルであった。 炎を模したド派手なクソダサ機体ペイントが特徴的。敵機と同じまともなカラーリングにする裏技もある。 ミッションクリアで得られる報酬を元手に戦闘機を購入するというシステムや、 超兵器、谷間・トンネル潜りといったお約束要素の多くはこの時点から存在していた。 また本作と2には「燃料」という独自要素があり、これが尽きるとゲームオーバーとなる(*5)。 PS1作品という事でグラフィックは当時としても粗く、 特に今作のトンネルミッションは主に グラフィックが粗いせいで地形が見辛い という理由でシリーズ屈指の難易度となってしまっている。 しかしながらこれでも相当画期的なゲームであった。 本作の舞台が現実世界なのかストレンジリアル世界なのかはイマイチ判然としていない。 また開発当初はアーケードで稼働していた「エアーコンバット22」の移植作として開発がスタートしており海外では「Air Combat」で発売されている。 本作のみPSのディスクを再生すれば作中楽曲が聞けるようになっている。 ACE COMBAT 2 超本格的ヒコーキごっこが今、始まる ユージア大陸にて発生した大規模クーデターに対し、今度は統合軍の傭兵部隊 スカーフェイス が鎮圧に向かう。 本作のパッケージにはSu-35(*6)が描かれているが、東側の戦闘機が単独でパッケージを飾っているのは本作と3だけである。 大まかなストーリーは前作とほぼ同じであるが、グラフィックを始めとして様々な面がブラッシュアップされている。 本作のキャッチコピーと 会社で社長や会長が玩具の戦闘機を手に心底楽しそうにブンドドしている というCMは、 エースコンバットとは如何なるゲームかを端的に表現した秀逸なものとして名高い。 シリーズ初となる架空機 XFA-27 や、後にシリーズ常連となるケイ・ナガセが初登場するなど、何気に意味の大きい作品。 04と同じ地名・地形が登場する事から、本作の舞台はストレンジリアル世界の様である。 後に3Dでリメイクされる形でストレンジリアル世界の正史に編入された模様。 楽曲の人気は高かったが発売当時限定配布されたアレンジ曲のみ収録の8センチCDしかなく、ソフト化が望まれていたが後述のX2の限定版でソフト化された。 だが流通限定品であったため流通数は少なく、その後価格が高騰し入手困難な一品になっていた、2020年になり5と共に配信が始まっている。 なお後にシリーズでも名曲と名高い『Blockade』『The Unsung War』『ZERO』などを作曲した小林啓樹氏は本作に感銘を受け4作目から参加しており 後にシリーズの名曲クリエイターにとっても本作の与えた影響は非常に大きかったようである。 ACE COMBAT 3 electrosphere(エレクトロスフィア) 地上にはない、ドラマがある 力を失った国家に代わって企業が人々を支配する2040年のユージア地方。 そこではゼネラルリソースとニューコムの二大巨大企業が覇権を争っていた。 主人公こと治安維持組織UPEOに所属するパイロット nemo とその仲間達は、平和の為に企業間抗争に立ち向かっていく。 シリーズ3作目にして、エースコンバットシリーズとしては後にも先にも無い独特の作品。 本作からナンバリングタイトルには副題が付けられるようになった。 本作の副題の エレクトロスフィア とは作中に登場する電脳空間の名前である。 それまでの作品とは打って変わって、また以降の作品にも見られないSF的世界観が特徴的。 それに加えて、ストーリーの間隙にProduction I.Gの手によるアニメパートが挿入される、音声が日本語のみである、 架空機が非常に多い(考えようによっては 全機種が架空機とも )など、極めて独特の雰囲気で進行していく。 一方で、その世界観に似合ったテクノ調のBGMや独特の浮遊感のある操作性、分かりやすいHUDなどは好評である。 総じて賛否両論、 「早過ぎた名作」 としてリメイクを望む声も散見される「屈指の異色作」としか形容しようがない作品。 シリーズの他の作品とはあまりに異質な雰囲気、ユージアがEuro-Asiaの略である、UGSFの歴史の起点である……などの設定から、 本作が04以降のストレンジリアル世界に含まれるかどうかはファンの間でも意見が分かれていたが、 7発売に伴い整理された年表に本作が組み込まれた事で、本作はストレンジリアル世界に含まれること(=本作が本シリーズをUGSF世界へとつなげる特殊な立ち位置であること)が正式に確定した。 ACE COMBAT 04 shattered skies(シャッタードスカイ) それは、誰もが手にするソラノカケラ 2003年、ユージア大陸。 小惑星ユリシーズの落着が齎した甚大な被害と混乱が引き金となり、かねてから大陸の他の国々と対立し、 長い緊張関係にあった大陸西部の大国エルジア共和国が大陸中部の中立国サンサルバシオンへ電撃的に侵攻、「大陸戦争」が勃発する。 東部諸国は多国籍軍ISAF(アイサフ)を結成して対抗するが、一国でISAF総参加国の全軍に匹敵するエルジアの強大な軍事力と、 元はユリシーズ迎撃のために建造され、開戦直後にエルジアが占拠した巨大地対空レールガン「ストーンヘンジ」の凄まじい制圧能力により劣勢に立たされる。 ISAF空軍の最精鋭をかき集め決死の覚悟で行われたストーンヘンジ奪還作戦も、ストーンヘンジ防衛を担うエース部隊「黄色中隊」と、 それを率いる絶対的エースパイロット 黄色の13 の圧倒的実力を前に失敗に終わり、開戦から1年後にはISAFは遂に大陸から撤退に追い込まれる。 その後間もなく行われたISAFにトドメを刺さんとするエルジアのISAF司令部空爆作戦を阻止すべく、主人公 メビウス1 が出撃する。 ――時に2004年9月19日、14時5分。後に「今次戦争で間違いなく最高のパイロット」と称される英雄を中心とした、ISAFの反撃が始まった瞬間であった。 ハードをPS2に移し、またゲームシステムという意味ではシリーズ最初にして最大の方針転換を行った作品。 以降にリリースされたシリーズ各作品は、あらゆる意味で本作がベースとなっていると言っても過言ではない。 間違われやすいがタイトルはエースコンバット4ではなくエースコンバット 04 。 この様な表記をした理由は、一説には数々の仕様変更による「ゼロからのスタート」という意味が込められているとされる(*7)。 副題は「分断された空」「砕かれた空」といった意味。また作中では「空の欠片」とも意訳される。 欧州版では副題はDISTANT THUNDER(ディスタントサンダー)となっている。 意味は「遠雷」。プロローグでも孤児の少年のモノローグで戦闘機のエンジン音を遠雷と表現している。 その後メビウス1はこの後の作品に(機体だけ含め)登場し続けるなど、ナガセ同様のエースコンバットの顔となった。 同時にとあるファンサイトの掲示板に投稿された「1ミッションで2度撃墜される」がネタとなったオメガ11もこの作品が初出。 ACE COMBAT 5 THE UNSUNG WAR(ジ・アンサングウォー) 奇跡を起こすことが義務付けられた日 2010年、北オーシア大陸。 オーシア連邦の南西、セレス海に浮かぶサンド島には、オーシア空軍サンド島分遣隊 ウォードッグ隊 が所属する空軍基地が存在した。 ある時、サンド島周辺に国籍不明機が突如出現、その攻撃により2人の教官と多数の訓練生が犠牲となり、 その日は地上に居た事で偶然難を逃れた主人公 ブレイズ ら新米パイロット達は、人手不足から新米でありながら実戦に赴く事を余儀なくされる。 後に不明機の正体はセレス海を挟んだ反対側に存在する大国ユークトバニア連邦共和国のものと判明、更に彼らはオーシアに宣戦布告する。 しかしユークは、かつてはオーシアと冷戦を繰り広げていたものの、現在では15年前に起きた"ベルカ戦争"に協力して対応して以来の友好国であった。 異常事態が連発する中、ブレイズはひょんな事からウォードッグ隊の隊長に就任し、3人の仲間と共に各地を転戦して行く。 ストレンジリアル世界を舞台とした作品としては初めてユージア大陸から離れた作品。 副題は「謳われない戦い」「讃えられない戦い」といった意味。 欧州版では副題はSQUADRON LEADER(スコードロンリーダー)となっており、意味は「隊長」である。 本作から初めて友軍機とは別に具体的な指示を下せる僚機が登場、欧州版副題はこの点を強調したものとなっている。 またゲーム中ボイスに日本語が選択可能となった。豪華声優陣の日本語音声の元でプレイが可能となる。 全ミッション数は3に次いでシリーズトップクラス、プレイアブル機もINFを除いて最多、無線は04の約20倍という、シリーズ屈指の大ボリュームも特徴。 前作が戦争の虚しさ、物寂しさを描いていたのに対して、こちらは総じて映画的な「熱い」展開が繰り広げられる。 オーシアの両さん こと熱血警官チャーリー11、脳筋なオーシア陸軍A中隊、熟練隊長とそれを慕うB中隊など、モブにも濃いキャラが揃っている。 アーケードモードはAC04の後日談という形になっていて、主人公もメビウス1が担当する。 ACE COMBAT ZERO THE BELKAN WAR(ザ・ベルカンウォー) エースによって語られる、エースの生き様 2005年、「世界を巻き込んだ」と言われる ベルカ戦争 の情報の一部が開示された。 1995年、極度の財政難に苦しんだオーシア大陸北東部の軍事大国ベルカ連邦が、 かつての自国領土であった周辺諸国"オーシア連邦"や"ウスティオ共和国"等へと攻め込んだ事で勃発した、 そしてその詳細がほとんど明らかにされていなかった戦争である。 ジャーナリストのブレット・トンプソンはすぐさま調査を行った結果、 どの資料にも共通して 鬼 の異名を持つ一人の傭兵パイロットに関する記述が登場する事に気付く。 ブレットは"鬼"を通してベルカ戦争の謎に迫る事を思い付き、そのために"鬼"と関わりのあるパイロット数名へのインタビューに成功する。 その内の一人、 片羽の妖精 は"鬼"のかつての相棒であった。"片羽"はブレットに、"鬼"こと主人公 ガルム1 の活躍を語って聞かせる。 「あれは雪の降る寒い日だった」 5で断片的に語られたベルカ戦争の様子を描いた作品。 時系列は1995年、04の時代の9年前とナンバリング作品としては最も古い時代を描いている。 今作の最大の特徴は「エーススタイルゲージ」と呼ばれる機能である。これはミッション中での行動、 例えば「民間の施設や、戦闘能力を失い離脱しようとする敵機を攻撃するか見逃すか」「救援要請を出している友軍を助けに行くか無視するか」などによって、 主人公が「容赦なく敵を叩き潰す"マーセナリー"」、「戦局眼に長けた"ソルジャー"」、「騎士道を行く"ナイト"」の三種類の内、 どのタイプのパイロットかに評価が分かれ、それによってルートが分岐したり台詞が変化したりするというものである。 OPで片羽が語る「エースは三つに分けられる。強さを求める奴、プライドに生きる奴、戦況を読める奴。この3つだ」という台詞は、 今作のゲームシステムを端的に表している。 前作5の前日談でもあるため5に登場した人物たちが登場するおまけ要素もある。 とある条件を満たすとあの英雄「メビウス1」が乱入してくる。 勿論時系列上は新人以下なはずなので完全にファンサービス。 ロックミュージックにフラメンコを取り入れた本作のBGMはシリーズでも取り分け評価が高く、 最終ミッションで流れる「ZERO」は「みんなで決めるゲーム音楽ベスト100」でも度々高順位にランクインしている。 ACE COMBAT X Skies of Deception(スカイズオブディセプション) 2020年、南オーシア大陸。 国土の大半が寒冷地ながら豊かな地下資源によって平和を謳歌するオーレリア連邦共和国に対し、 長年にわたる内戦により疲弊し、オーレリアから食料購入支援金の援助を受けていた隣国レサス民主共和国は、 「不当な搾取を続けたオーレリアへの報復」と称して宣戦布告、瞬く間にオーレリアの領土の大半を占拠する。 ただ一つ残った田舎の空軍基地に所属する主人公 グリフィス1 は、僅かな仲間と共に反撃に向かう。 一方で、かつてオーシア空軍のサンド島隊を取材していたジャーナリストの アルベール・ジュネット は、その戦争の裏に隠されているものに迫っていく。 国内向けとしては初めて携帯機でリリースされた作品。 またストレンジリアル世界としては初めて南半球が舞台となっている。 多くのファンにとって未知となる携帯機での展開に不安も多かった様であるが、 その実は操作性、ボリューム共に十分な良作として迎えられている。 ミッションは複数個が同時に提示され、その内の1つを選んで出撃、 それによって後の展開が変化するという初代のそれに回帰したシナリオ進行となっている。 それゆえ地味にEDが複数あるシリーズでも数少ない作品でもある。 また3に次いで架空機が多く、それらに限りチューニングができるという独自要素も持っている。 上述の通り、本作の語り部は5にも登場したジュネットが務めている。 5で発揮した勘の鋭さは本作でも健在である。 ACE COMBAT 6 解放への戦火 群れ成す翼の大戦場 2015年、アネア大陸。 大陸東部のエストバキア連邦は、ユリシーズの落着による被害により発生した内乱によって大きく疲弊していた。 軍事政権の樹立によってようやく安定したエストバキアは、突如として隣国エメリア共和国の首都グレースメリアへと侵攻する。 エメリア空軍に所属する主人公 ガルーダ1 らの抵抗も虚しく、軍司令部はグレースメリア放棄を決断、エメリアは開戦と同時に首都喪失の憂き目に遭う。 国を取り戻す為に、ガルーダ1とその仲間達は一時撤退の後、次第に各地に散った友軍と合流、反攻に立ち上がる。 シリーズで初めてソニーハード以外、というか唯一XBOX360に対応する作品。 本作のみ副題が日本語となっており、北米版では英訳表記の''Fires of Liberation''となっている。 第7世代機に移行した事で、そのグラフィックはACE7の登場まではシリーズでも最高峰となっている。 敵味方共に大量の戦闘機が空を駆けまわり、飛行機雲やミサイルの煙で空が覆われる様は圧巻の一言に尽きる。 本作は敵も味方も大軍を成している事が特徴の一つであり、エネミーの数もいつもに増して大量であるが、 シリーズでは珍しく友軍も大勢居り、「支援要請」で画面内の敵を一掃する程の強力な火力支援を受ける事もできる。 この「大軍と大軍のぶつかり合い」が楽しめる点も魅力の一つ。 ミッション数、プレイアブル機体共にシリーズとしては少々少なめであるが、 1ミッション辺りのボリュームが増加しており、またミッション中の行動で先の展開が変化する性質上、 周回プレイを前提とするならミッション数の少なさはこれくらいが丁度いいとする向きもある。 本作ではDLC機能を利用し、同じくXbox360タイトルとして気を吐いた アイドルマスターとまさかまさかのコラボを実現 、 765プロのアイドルが大胆にあしらわれた痛車ならぬ 痛戦闘機 が登場した。 ACE COMBAT X2 JOINT ASSAULT(ジョイントアサルト) 20XX年、金融危機の傷跡が色濃く残る世界。 民間軍事会社マーティネズ・セキュリティー社に所属するパイロットにして主人公"アンタレス"は、 初任務となる合同軍事演習の最中に謎の武装集団「ヴァラヒア」の攻撃を受ける。 後にヴァラヒアの攻撃目標は東京である事が判明、 アンタレス、そしてマーティネズ・セキュリティーは攻撃阻止のために作戦に参加する。 やがて国際社会は対ヴァラヒアを目的に多国籍治安維持軍(IUPF)を組織、アンタレスらもIUPFの一員として世界を転戦するが、 その裏で真の黒幕による恐ろしい計画が進行していた....。 あらすじを見ても分かる通り、エースコンバットシリーズとしては初めて明確に現実の地球を舞台とした作品。 X2とあるが、エースコンバットXの続編という訳ではない。「PSPハードでリリースされた2作目」という意味であろう。 バグ多さや舞台が現実世界に移行した事、敵が乗る架空機の理不尽な機動など、 ゲームバランスの悪さから非常に賛否が分かれる作品となってしまっている。 一方で、マルチプレイ時にそれぞれ別の空域を飛び、お互いの戦果が相手の局面に影響するジョイントアサルトなど意欲的なシステムも存在する。 また、シリーズ初となるレシプロ戦闘機が登場(*8)。ジャンボジェットでの谷間飛行も本作だけ。 ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON(アサルトホライゾン) もがれる翼の断末魔 2015年、アフリカ。 多発・激化する反政府紛争に対応すべく、NATOは軍を派遣するが、 いずこから入手した最新鋭兵器で武装し、地形を生かしたゲリラ戦を展開する反政府軍の掃討は遅々として進まず、泥沼化していた。 そんな折、アフリカでは謎の新型爆弾「トリニティ」の存在が判明する。 米軍に所属する主人公 ウィリアム・ビショップ は、仲間を率いて調査に向かう。 現実世界を舞台とした作品第2弾。 タイトルロゴを見ても分かる通り、本作はエースコンバットの表記が小さく、外伝的な趣が強い。 実際、そのゲーム性は エースコンバットの皮を被ったコールオブデューティー 等と言われている。 極めて異例な事に、本作の主人公は容姿と名前が設定されている。 エスコンでありながらヘリや爆撃機、ドアガンの操作も可能な他、その他独自の操作システムが特徴的。 マップや航空機、殊更その撃破演出の作り込みには高い評価がされている一方で、 新システムやシナリオの粗が多く、評価は上記X2と並んでシリーズでも特に低いと言わざるを得ない。 ACE COMBAT 3D CROSS RUMBLE(クロスランブル) 近接乱舞∞(クロスランブル無限大) ベルカ戦争後のユージア大陸。 世界的な融和の流れに乗り、長年冷戦を続けていたオーシアとユークトバニアもまた協調に向かっていた。 そんな2ヵ国の間に位置するユージア大陸諸国は二大国に対抗するため統一国家の樹立を考え、まずその前段階として「ユージア同盟軍」を結成するが、 豊富な天然資源を埋蔵する大陸南部諸国はこれに反発、大陸北部・西部諸国の反対を押し切り独断でオーシア連邦との軍事条約を締結しようとする。 そして条約調印式当日、遂に大陸南部諸国の姿勢に反対する国々によるクーデターが発生、衝突は大陸全体にまで波及してしまう。 事態を鎮圧すべく、大陸各国は正規軍と傭兵パイロットをかき集め、クーデター鎮圧作戦「戦士の名誉作戦」を発動する。 その中には、主人公 フェニックス 率いるスカーフェイス隊の姿があった。 3DS、延いては任天堂ハードでリリースされた初にして2018年現在で唯一の作品。 本作は初代と2のストーリーを纏めてリメイク、公式曰く「再構成」したものとなっている。 舞台もストレンジリアル世界に回帰、ZERO以降04以前の時代(97~8年頃)を舞台とした世界という事もあり、旧作のプレイヤーをニヤリとさせる演出も多く含まれている。 新システムの絶妙なバランスなどもあって、久し振りに高い評価が与えられたエースコンバットである。 リリースから3年後、追加要素を含むACE COMBAT 3D+が発売された。 本作では マリオブラザーズシリーズ とのコラボがなされ、マリオの意匠のペイントがされたF-22等が使用できる。 ACE COMBAT INFINITY(インフィニティ) 終わりない自由を 全ての手に空を 1999年、地球に降り注いだ小惑星ユリシーズの破片がもたらした地球規模の未曾有の大災害、通称"ユリシーズの災厄"から20年が経過した2019年の世界。 ユリシーズの破片迎撃のために世界各地に建造された巨大地対空レールガン"ストーンヘンジ"の活躍により、 既存の世界秩序の崩壊という「最低限の被害」に留まる事ができた世界は、地域ごとに共同体を結成し少しずつ被害から立ち直りつつあった。 一方で、復興の為に軍事予算が削減され世界的に急速な軍縮が行われた結果、正規軍は世界各地で頻発するテロに対応し切れなくなり、 代わりに国連の委託を受けたPMC、通称"プライベーティア"が台頭するようになっていった。 PMC「アローズ社」に所属する主人公リーパーもまた、そんな傭兵パイロットの一人であった。 そんな折、ユリシーズ被害の難民特区として作られたロシア南部の"イユーリ自治区"とその周辺が"ユージア連邦"を名乗って独立を宣言、 瞬く間に世界各地の主要都市を占拠する。 世界、延いては宇宙すらも巻き込む"ユージア戦争"の幕明けであった。 PS3でリリースされたオンラインゲーム。2018年3月、惜しまれながらもサービスを終了した。 現実世界を舞台に04のストーリーをベースとしつつ、各シリーズで登場したミッションや人物、組織のセルフパロディや、 各種超兵器の客演など、シリーズ全体を巻き込んだクロスオーバー作品、更に言うなら お祭り作品 とでも言うべき代物。 メインはオンラインモードによるインターネット対戦。 オフラインモードも備えてはいたが、第8話を以って以降のストーリーは進行する事は無く、事実上の打ち切りないしは未完であった。 またオフラインモードのシナリオは後半以降を開放するにはほぼ課金が必須であった。 ミッションに参加するにも3時間で1つ溜まる「燃料」を使用する、所謂スタミナ制を採用しており、 ストレスなくゲームをプレイするにはやはり課金が必要というえげつない集金体勢には批判が多かった。 操作システムには、携帯機で多数盛り込まれた特徴的な新システムは全て排除され、04以来のシンプルなものに回帰した事については評価が高い。 また今までの多くの作品に登場した航空機に加えて、今作初登場となる機体も多数登場、プレイアブル機体の数はシリーズ最多を誇っていた。 シリーズの源流とでも言うべき漫画「エリア88」とのコラボも実現し、まさしくお祭り企画の面目躍如であった。 ACE COMBAT 7 SKIES UNKNOWN(スカイズアンノウン) 願い、救い、痛み、恐怖、空はひとつにつながらない 2019年、ユージア大陸。ユリシーズの落着から20年、環太平洋戦争から9年が経過した。 関係を修復したオーシアとユークの二大超大国は更なる成長を遂げ、ユリシーズ被害の復興と平和の為に様々な政策を図っていた。 オーシアがエルジア王国(旧エルジア共和国)から独立した南部の国家・セラタプラの領海に建設した国際軌道エレベーターもそのうちの一つであった。 しかし、エルジアはそれを「オーシアによる宇宙開発利権の独占」「エルジアへの干渉」として反発、徐々にオーシアとの関係が悪化していく。 遂にエルジアはオーシアへ宣戦布告すると同時にオーシア各地の軍港を奇襲、オーシアの海上戦力を封じ込めると同時に軌道エレベーターを占拠、 自らに同調する各国と共に大陸内のオーシア軍基地の制圧に着手、第二次大陸戦争、またの名を灯台戦争が勃発する。 強大な軍事力を持つオーシアに対してエルジアは無人機の大量投入で互角に持ち込み、またオーシアは民間に誤爆を繰り返したのに対し、 無人機の正確な攻撃により無用な被害を出さないエルジアは徐々に世論を味方に付けて行く。 そんな折、IUN国際停戦監視軍に所属し平和維持活動に参加していた主人公トリガーはとある作戦の中で犯した「大統領殺し」の罪により、 オーシア軍の懲罰部隊「第444航空基地飛行隊」通称スペア隊に左遷されてしまう。 トリガーは一癖も二癖もある仲間と共に、「戦力ではない捨て駒」として危険な任務に身を投じて行く事を余儀なくされる。 2019年1月17日発売のシリーズ最新作。 当初は2017年発売予定だったが2度の延期を経て発売は2年遅れとなったが、その結果劇中の設定年代と同じになった。 シリーズ20周年記念作品にして、ナンバリング作品としてはAC6以来実に12年振りとなる作品。 対応機種はPS4、XBOXONE、PC(STEAM)。 早期購入特典として、PS4版にはAC5、XBOX版にはAC6の移植版が同梱する。 本作は「空の革新」をテーマとしており、雨雲の中を飛ぶとキャノピーが凍結したりミサイルの誘導性能が低下する、 強風の中では機体が風に煽られる、雷雲が近いと機体に落雷し電子機器が一時的に機能停止する……といったリアルな空の再現が行われている。 更に進化したグラフィックも相まって、空の中を飛ぶ臨場感はシリーズでも最高級となっている。 各機体はインフィニティのシステムを受け継ぐ形で強化パーツによる改造が可能になっており、 また時代がかなり進んでいる事もあってか架空機以外でもレーザー砲やレールガンが使用可能になっている。 サブタイトルは直訳では「謎の空」となるが、作中では「未知なる空へ」と意訳されている。 宇宙へ伸びる軌道エレベーター、無人機の台頭、二通りに分かれるある人物の取った行動の意図の解釈といった、本作の特徴が表現されている。 ストーリー面では、本作の発表を機にACE3が正史に組み込まれた事を受けてか、3との繋がりを意識させる描写も多い。 それだけに、3では全く影も形もなかった軌道エレベーターの去就が心配された。 また04、5との関係性が非常に強く、過去作プレイヤー向けのファンサービスの類もシリーズの中では断トツに多い。 本作のプレイ前にはこれらの作品をおさらいしておいた方がより楽しめるだろう。 発売前から発表されていたが、本作の主人公は従来作のように常にある特定の部隊を率いるのではなく、 冒頭で懲罰部隊送りになったのを皮切りに複数の隊を渡り歩いていくのも特徴である。 全体的に難易度は高めで、シリーズでもトップレベルと称される。 悪天候下での飛行の難しさ、電子機器を頼れない不安さがよく分かる事だろう。 PS4版にボーナスとして用意されたPSVRモードでは、またまたメビウス1が主人公を務める事に。 そして相方はまさかのオメガ11。 《常連の航空機》 F-4E/F F-5E 初期機常連。 特に多いのはF-4だが、ACE6以降は流石に古くなって来た為かF-16Cが担当する事が多くなった。 初期機体故に非常に鈍重だが、本機で最後まで行ってしまう猛者も中には居る。 ゼブラカラーの本機を愛機とするZEROのライバルエースの一人ケラーマンは正にそんな猛者である。 特に04のF-4は、シリーズ屈指の人気主人公専用カラーや専用演出がある事もあり、ファンからも制作側からも特別視されている。 F-4については、大抵空軍型で登場しているにも関わらず04のオープニングを始め時々空母に乗っているのはご愛敬。 MiG-21bis 序盤機体常連。 無数のバリエーションがあるが、登場するのは主にソ連における最終生産型のbis。 非プレイアブル作でも序盤の敵機として頻繁に登場している。 F-16C 序盤機体常連。 先述の通り、初期機体を担当する例も増えつつある。 特殊兵装は多くの場合4連中距離空対空ミサイルか対地爆弾。 神速の死亡フラグ回収でお馴染みPJの愛機。 ミラージュ2000 序盤機体常連。マルチロール機である事が多い。 序盤機としてはそこそこの運動性に加えてかなりの直線スピード性能を持つ機体として扱われる事が多い。 ACE5のとあるミッションでは特別仕様の本機が強制使用となる。 MiG-29A 序盤~中盤機体常連。6と3D以外の全作品でプレイアブル皆勤賞の機体。 概ねF-16の対となる存在。 F-14 序盤~中盤機体常連。勿論主翼開閉ギミック完備。A型に至ってはグローブベーン(*9)開閉ギミックまである。 艦載機としては最初に使用可能となる機種の一つでもある。 紺色と桜吹雪のパターンが描かれた特別カラーも定番となっている。 ACE5まではA型、それ以降はD型(スーパートムキャット)が基本となる。 特殊兵装はセミアクティブ誘導ミサイルとフェニックスミサイルの再現でか長距離6連空対空ミサイルが基本。 攻撃機に派生した『F-14Bボムキャット』が登場する事もあり、こちらは誘導爆弾を持っている事が多い。 なお、実際にはエンジンもしくは電子装備のアップデート版がF-14B、対地爆弾装備仕様がボムキャットなのでそれぞれ別物である。 ACE5では主役機を務めており、F-14自体の人気と相俟って特別カラーやDLC機体として5主人公仕様もよく登場している。 ただ、先述の通りZERO以降はD型が基本となったため、「完全再現」された例はINFだけたったり。 F/A-18 序盤~中盤機体常連。系列を含めるとXi以外の全作品でプレイアブル皆勤賞の機体の一つ。 PS2三部作ではレガホ、それ以外ではスパホが多い。 中盤戦闘機としては軽快に動き、特殊兵装も4連空対空ミサイルに対艦ミサイルと使いやすい。 EA-18Gの代わりとしてECMを装備する事もある。 F-2 序盤~中盤機体常連。04で初登場して以来皆勤賞。 大抵の作品では攻撃機として扱われるが、中にはマルチロール機となっている事もある。 特殊兵装に対艦ミサイルとロケットランチャーを備える事が多く、プレイヤー間では「対艦番長」の通称で愛されている。 運動性に優れているため、対空戦も可能な便利な機種である。 F-15 中盤機体常連。系列を含めるとXi以外の全作品でプレイアブル皆勤賞の機体の一つ。 大抵4連空対空ミサイルを持ち、空戦では「20世紀最強の戦闘機」の呼び声に違わない使い勝手の良さを見せる。 多くの場合戦闘機のC型が基本となるが、派生としてカナード付きの派生機(ACTIVもしくはMTD)もよく登場し、これらは大抵マルチロール機かつ気化爆弾を装備する事が特徴となる。 ZEROでは主役機を務めており、サイファー仕様とピクシー仕様がダブルで特別カラーとして登場する事も多い。 E型「ストライクイーグル」はプレイアブル初登場の04以来、Xiと3D以外の全作で常連となっている。 C型が装備するのは大抵通常爆弾だがこちらはクラスター爆弾であり、少々癖があるものの上手く使えばより広範囲を爆撃できるという調整となっている。 6ではC型が登場しない事もあり、こちらが主役機となった。 F-117 中盤機体常連。7まではプレイアブル皆勤賞だったが、7で遂に非プレイアブル化してしまったためファンからは悲しまれる事となった。 大抵最初に使えるようになるステルス機であるが、自機としては恩恵はほぼ体感できないレベル。 誘導爆弾を主力とする攻撃機だが、足の遅さと攻撃範囲の狭さもあって使い辛い類である。 なお実機には無い機銃が機種底面左側辺りに装備されており、これまた実機には無いレーダーも問題なく使用可能。 ダッソー ラファール 中盤機体常連。基本的に海軍型のラファールMとして登場し、系列を含めると3以外の全作品でプレイアブル皆勤賞の機体の一つ。 04までは商標等の都合で「R-C01」「R-M01」等の表記となっていた。 大雑把に言えばホーネットのアッパー版といった感じで、長距離ミサイルやディスペンサー爆弾といった装備を持つことが多い。 ライバル機として登場した場合、何故か女性が乗る事が多い傾向にある。曲線的なシルエットが女性らしさを連想させるのだろうか。 フランス機という事もあり、現地のパッケージでは本機が主役機となる事もある。 ユーロファイター タイフーン 中盤機体常連。「ユーロ」の概念が無いストレンジリアル世界に於いては大抵「タイフーン」表記だが、04までは「EF-2000」表記だった。 7時点で正真正銘全作プレイアブル皆勤賞の数少ない機種。 ラファールと同時期に使用可能となる機種で性能的にも似通っているが、対艦ミサイルやディスペンサー爆弾など対地寄りのラファールに対し、 こちらは6連長距離空対空ミサイルなど空戦寄りの調整。区分も、ラファールは実機通りマルチなのに対してこちらは大抵戦闘機扱いとなっている。 BAEテンペストの登場は当分先になると思われるので空戦用欧州機としては本機が最強機となる。 A-10 中盤機体常連。系列を含めると3とXi以外の全作品でプレイアブル皆勤賞の機体の一つ。 見た目にも明らかな対地戦特化型。対空戦闘も全く不可能ではないが向いていない。 広大な破壊範囲を持つ気化爆弾を装備できる事が特徴。……なのだが7では何故か使用不可となってしまった。 とにもかくにも足が遅いが、代わりに安定性が非常に高くスピードを落としても中々失速しない。トンネルの中で宙返りさせる事すら可能。 当然耐久値も高めに設定されているほか、作品によっては機銃の威力が高いという形でアヴェンジャーも再現されている。 トーネード 中盤機体常連。Xまではよく登場していたのだがそれ以降の出番は散発的。 ディスペンサー爆弾を使用可能である事が特徴として与えられており、この時点で使用可能な攻撃機としては比較的軽快に動ける方。 またこちらもエネミーとして登場した際は撃破にミサイル3発を要する頑丈さを持っている事も多い。 フランカーファミリー 中盤機体常連。 作品によって使える機種がまちまちだが、系列のどれかは大抵登場している。 ファン間では特に「カナードの付いたフランカー」は本シリーズには欠かせないものと見做されている。 原点、Su-27は、実はあまり使用できる作品は多くなく、初登場も5と遅い。 西のF-15と対を成す機種であり、あちらと同等の高い空戦能力を持っている。 Su-35、所謂「カナードの付いた方」「試作型の方」のSu-35は2にて主役機を務めている。 ……が、型番の同じ「カナードが無い方」「量産型の方」のSu-35に取って代わられていることが多いためファンからは残念がられる事も多い。 こちらは後半機種としての登場が多く、空戦機としてはかなりの高性能を発揮する。 Su-33は6唯一のフランカーとして登場。 6が初登場であり、その後のシリーズでの登場例はあまり多くない。 JAS39 グリペン 中盤機体常連。実は初代から登場している。 STOL機という特長を反映し、ミッション中に滑走路から突然現れるという形で登場する例が散見される。 MiG-31 中盤~終盤機体常連。 マッハ3という途轍もない最高速度を出せる機種という事もあり、全機種最高の速度と序盤機体並の劣悪な運動性を併せ持つ極端なマシン。 それ故にファンからの愛称は「直線番長」である。 その圧倒的トップスピードに魅せられたファンも多いが、およそ扱い易いとは言い難い上級者向け。 エネミーとして登場した際は撃墜にミサイル3発を要する頑丈なターゲットとなる事が多い。 YF-23 終盤機体常連。宇宙戦闘機の様な特異なビジュアルだが実在機である。 F-22に匹敵する性能の戦闘機という扱いと、マルチロック兵装を持たずサシの戦いに特化している傾向がある。 F-22 終盤機体常連。一部の作品では「F/A-22A」表記である事も。また初代と2では試作機のYF-22として登場している。 初代で主役機を務め、その後もX2からは5連続主役機を務めたキング・オブ・主役機。メビウス1仕様のF-22もほぼ必ず用意されている。 終盤にようやく使えるようになるという事で基本性能も特殊兵装も優秀、ステルス性も完備……と、 西側最強機体に恥じず空戦で使う分にはほぼ隙が無い仕様であり、強いて弱点を上げるならミサイルがウェポンベイに格納されている上に八の字に角度が付いた配置になっている関係上、ボタン入力から実際に発射されるまでのタイムラグと角度が付いた状態で発射される事から咄嗟のミサイル発射では間に合わない事がある程度。 特に拘りが無い場合は本機でラストミッションに挑むという場合も多い事だろう。 Su-37 終盤機体常連。3のパッケージ機であり、現状最後の東側機体がパッケージを飾った例となっている。 3の「レナはフランカーに乗れて良いよな」や04の黄色中隊の愛機として、 そしてシリーズ初期に於けるF-22と対を成す東側最強機種としてファン間では登場しないと物議を醸す程の強い人気を持つ。 やはりレナ仕様や黄色仕様はシリーズの多くの作品で、そしてちょっとひと手間を要する入手条件で用意されている事が多い。 但しレナ専用機は厳密には風防が装甲で覆われた特別仕様なのだが、再現カラー機ではそこまで再現されない事が多い。 Su-47 終盤機体常連。3で初登場して以来シリーズ皆勤賞。 東側最強機種の一角。シリーズ初期ではステルス性まで持っている事もあった。 特殊兵装は一貫して「高誘導ミサイルと通常爆弾」という一対一に特化した構成であり、特に04では非常に強力だった。 弱点といえば多数の戦闘機を相手取るには向かない点と運動性が高過ぎて使い心地に慣れるのに時間が掛かる程度と、こちらもスペシャルな性能。 牛柄カラーとZEROのライバル部隊、ゴルト隊仕様の特別カラーは多くの作品に用意されている。 終盤機種というだけあり、ストーリー後半には本機を使用する凄腕エース部隊が現れる事もままある。 実機の外連味の強いビジュアルと相俟って、本作のプレイヤーにもファンを多く抱えている。 尚、本シリーズでは一貫して愛称は「ベルクート」と解説されているが、ロシア語の発音的には間違いであり、より正確には「ベールクト」が近い。 フランカーは「フランカー」なのにこちらはNATOコードの「ファーキン」で呼ばれる機会は何故か皆無。 Su-57 終盤機体常連。基本カラーは黒一色だが、大抵SPカラーとしてスプリッター迷彩版も用意されている。 AHで初登場して以来皆勤であり、そしてSu-37に代わる新たな東側最強機種にしてライバル機種。 型番が決定されるまで時間があったため、名称は作品により「T-50」だったり「PAK-FA」だったりと安定しなかった。 性能はほぼF-22と相互互換。こちらも戦闘機としては全方位に優秀な性能。 E-767 プレイアブル機だった事は一度も無いが、しかし04以降のエースコンバットに於いて決して欠かす事のできない機種。 スカイアイに端を発する味方側AWACSとして、そして敵のAWACSや電子戦機としてよく登場する。 実物のE-767には電子妨害装備は無いが、本作中では度々レーダーに機能障害を起こす妨害電波を放って来る。 Ace of Spades 略してAoS。鯖必要。劣化マイクラの世界で撃ち合うFPS。武器は三種しかない上にライフル一択。マップは四角い制限しか無いので回り込んで掘ればどんなNoobでも裏が取れる。グラボはマイクラよりいらない。CSOとだいぶ違うのは言わずもがな、マイクラともけっこう違う。
